Client Brief

Central Sydney ENT engaged DY Constructions to carry out a minor medical fitout to upgrade and enhance one of their clinical spaces. The client required new custom joinery, integrated storage, a relocated sink, and improved functionality to support daily consultation activities in a compact footprint.

Challenges

As the clinic remained operational throughout the project, all works had to be completed after hours to avoid disrupting patient appointments and staff operations. The small footprint of the space also presented access limitations, requiring careful coordination of trades and material deliveries to minimise downtime and maintain a clean environment suitable for a medical setting.

The Solution

DY Constructions scheduled all fitout works during evenings and weekends, ensuring zero impact on daily operations. The team worked efficiently within the tight space, managing subcontractor access and staging materials off-site. Scope of Works

  • Interior Construction – Supply and installation of new plasterboard partitions and ceilings to form reception, consulting rooms, staff areas and a procedure room.
  • Joinery & Finishes – Custom reception desk with storage, wall cladding for signage, joinery to consulting rooms and amenities; supply and installation of vinyl flooring and skirtings.
  • Medical Room Detailing – Installation of wash station in the procedure room; variation works included additional privacy curtain and track to meet operational needs.
  • Services – New electrical power and data points; lighting installation; coordination with building management for service connections.
  • Compliance & Live Site Delivery – Fitout executed in an operational building with minimal disruption; all works delivered under medical compliance and WHS requirements.
