Interior fitout completed for Finstro’s new York Street office, featuring glazed partitions, operable wall relocation, and upgraded electrical layout.
Client Brief
Following a successful stripout and make good project at their previous tenancy, the client engaged DY Constructions to deliver a complete office fitout for their new workspace at Level 5, 1 York Street. The project involved demolition, relocation and make good works, new partitioning, painting, electrical, mechanical, and fire protection adjustments, along with the supply and installation of custom office furniture to suit the updated layout. A full set of construction drawings and CDC management services were also included to ensure code compliance.
Challenges
The project involved multiple moving parts including coordinating demolition, partition relocation, ceiling works and services adjustments—all within an operational CBD building. Managing the program while awaiting CDC documentation and ensuring timely coordination across trades presented minor logistical challenges.
The Solution
To minimise disruption, DY implemented protective barriers and floor coverings and carefully staged works to allow trades to progress efficiently without overlap. CDC coordination and all essential service adjustments were managed in-house, ensuring the project met both landlord and code requirements without delay. Regular site inspections and quality checks ensured a high standard of delivery throughout.
The Result
The client was pleased with the newly transformed office space, tailored to their layout needs and finished with modern, durable materials. DY delivered the full scope of works on time and in line with all compliance requirements, creating a practical, professional workspace that supported the client’s relocation and operational needs.
