Project overview
Education fitout delivered for Bethel Christian School, including a custom-built Food Technology room and associated service upgrades.
Client Brief
Bethel Christian School engaged DY Constructions Australia to upgrade their food technology classroom to better support the school’s curriculum and student needs. The scope involved general interior refurbishments, installation of new joinery, appliances, hand wash facilities, and upgraded electrical components to enhance functionality and compliance. The project included both base works and an additional variation to upgrade selected power points to units with integrated USB and USB-C charging capabilities.
Challenges
As the works were delivered within a functioning school, access limitations and scheduling around school operations were key considerations. Coordination of trades had to be carefully managed to minimise disruption to students and staff.
The Solution
DY Constructions adopted a staged works approach to ensure construction activities did not interfere with school operations. Upgrades were scheduled during low-occupancy periods, and clear communication with the school’s facilities team ensured a smooth delivery process.
The Result
The refurbished classroom was delivered on time and provided a functional, modern space for food technology education. The client was pleased with the finish and attention to detail, particularly the inclusion of integrated USB power upgrades that added convenience for modern teaching environments.
