Client Brief

The Mediterranean Shipping Company engaged DY Constructions Australia to complete a series of small office works across multiple projects, with the aim of enhancing functionality, refreshing amenities, and resolving workspace-specific challenges. Across the various sites and stages, DY was tasked with delivering a range of fitout services, including partitioning and glazing adjustments, office alterations, bathroom upgrades, and general make good works to meet the client’s operational and compliance requirements.

Challenges

While the individual scopes were not overly complex, some works required careful integration into occupied spaces with minimal disruption to surrounding tenancies. Specific tasks such as dismantling workstations, managing deliveries through constrained CBD access points, and working around operational requirements demanded efficient coordination and attention to safety and access logistics.

DY Constructions implemented staged delivery, temporary containment barriers, and detailed floor protection measures to maintain a clean and safe environment during works.   • Workstations & Joinery – Assembly and layout of height-adjustable workstations with acoustic screens, storage joinery, and kitchen cabinetry across multiple suites.
  • Operable Wall – Installation of an operable wall system to allow flexible use of boardroom and meeting areas.
  • Privacy & Signage – Application of privacy film to glazed walls and doors for WHS compliance, along with directory signage updates.
  • Electrical & Data – Reconfiguration of existing power and data services to suit revised layouts and desk positions.
  • Staged Delivery – Works coordinated across multiple suites and timeframes, with staged handovers to ensure minimal disruption to client operations.
  • Final Touches – Site clean, patch painting, and final detailing on completion of each stage.
