Project overview
Comprehensive interior fitout and compliance-led office upgrade for Sika Australia’s dual-level commercial premises.
Client Brief
Sika Australia engaged DY Constructions Australia to deliver a comprehensive fitout across both ground and first floors of their Wetherill Park facility. The client required a full internal transformation to better support team productivity, including new office partitioning, custom kitchen joinery, a new reception counter, essential services upgrades, and the addition of a new shower facility. The brief also included removal of existing partitions, reconfiguration of workstations, and flooring and painting works to align the upgraded space with company standards.
Challenges
Works were staged over multiple levels, with some noisy tasks requiring careful scheduling to minimise disruption to staff. Additionally, integrating services like plumbing for the new kitchen and shower required careful coordination to avoid interfering with structural elements and existing finishes.
The Solution
DY Constructions mitigated disruption by completing dusty and noisy works outside of normal business hours, ensuring the live work environment remained functional throughout construction. Services were rerouted using existing ceiling voids, with core drilling, waterproofing, and floor chasing carried out efficiently to support the new amenities while maintaining structural integrity.
The Result
The result was a high-quality internal upgrade that enhanced functionality and staff comfort. The new layout delivered bespoke joinery, compliant wet areas, updated flooring, and an attractive reception space, all in line with the client’s expectations. Sika was highly satisfied with the project outcome, noting the smooth delivery and improved usability of their space.
