Office fitout completed for MEGT in Parramatta featuring new partitioning, workstation installation, cabling, and privacy enhancements.

Client Brief

MEGT engaged DY Constructions to reconfigure a portion of their existing tenancy to better accommodate staff workflow and operational needs. The brief called for a new open-plan workstation layout, refreshed flooring and finishes, and updated power/data points. All works were to be completed with minimal disruption to ongoing business operations within the occupied commercial tower.

Challenges

As the office remained operational throughout the works, careful staging and coordination were required to minimise disruption to staff. Site access and noisy works had to be scheduled outside of core business hours.

The Solution

DY Constructions worked closely with MEGT’s team to coordinate after-hours works and maintain a clean, safe working environment. Furniture installation and service adjustments were sequenced efficiently to ensure the space was handed over promptly and without disruption to daily operations.

The Result

The refreshed office area was delivered on time and in line with MEGT’s expectations, creating a functional and modern workspace. All finishes and services were compliant, and the client was pleased with the smooth process and upgraded layout.

Scope of Works

  • Partitioning & Layout – Demolition of select existing partitions and construction of new plasterboard walls to suit the revised open plan layout as per the orange-marked zone.
  • Flooring & Painting – Supply and installation of new commercial carpet tiles throughout the tenancy and full repainting of internal walls and ceiling surfaces.
  • Workstations & Joinery – Coordination with client-supplied furniture and installation of fixed workstations to suit power/data layout.
  • Electrical & Data – Adjustments to lighting and power layout; provision of new data and power points to suit the updated desk configuration.
  • Mechanical Adjustments – Minor rebalancing and redirection of air-conditioning outlets to suit new layout.
  • Fire & Safety Compliance – Review and modification of existing fire services (sprinklers, detectors) to align with new partition layout, ensuring full BCA compliance.
