Client Brief
Cosentino engaged DY Constructions Australia to deliver a premium fitout and refurbishment of their dual-level showroom at One30 Hyde Park, Sydney.
The scope involved extensive large format wall and floor tiling, bespoke joinery, concrete staircases, frameless glass doors, and new office and display areas. Works also included electrical and lighting upgrades, AV integration, and detailed finishes to create a sophisticated and functional showroom space that reflects Cosentino’s brand and supports its commercial objectives.
Challenges
The project was delivered during the peak of COVID-19, requiring careful management of health and safety protocols. Its tight Sydney CBD location created access issues for deliveries, with some works scheduled after hours.
As the site was within a residential building, noise control was critical. High-end finishes demanded precise attention to detail, while concrete pours for the staircase involved strict traffic management. Additionally, coordination with the client’s team based in Spain introduced complexities across time zones and communication channels.
The Solution
The DY Constructions team held regular coordination meetings with the client to plan and resolve project requirements efficiently. Experienced subcontractors were engaged to achieve the high-end finishes, supported by ongoing quality control inspections. Noisy works were scheduled after 9am to comply with building regulations, while challenging site access was carefully managed through strategic planning and after-hours deliveries where necessary.
The Result
Working closely with SMA Design, the DY Constructions team delivered a high-end showroom and office space for Cosentino at One30 Hyde Park. Featuring large format tiling, polished concrete staircases, bespoke joinery and frameless glass doors, the space offers a refined setting for clients and staff. The dual-level layout includes dedicated office and display areas, with custom privacy film, new carpet tiles, automated blinds, and carefully selected furnishings enhancing both functionality and aesthetics. Premium finishes and attention to detail throughout have created a sleek, modern showroom designed to showcase Cosentino’s products at their best.
